The apexportal Supplier Discovery module lets you quickly source suppliers to support your business in markets around the globe. Suppliers who would like to do business with you can preregister online. Information they enter will be automatically prevalidated, stored and, optionally, routed for internal review. When you need a new supplier to fulfill a specific need, use Supplier Discovery to search your Supplier Discovery database, your current vendor master and apexanalytix’s proprietary smartvm® database of over 90 million supplier records to the Global 2000 through a single interface. Export selected suppliers to your RFx system or simply invite them to complete registration to become an active supplier.

To identify new suppliers who are specifically interested in doing business with you, simply publicize your portal sign up page and distribute online invitations. You can even set up a kiosk at industry conferences so suppliers can enter information online in real time.

SET YOUR OWN RULES

The Supplier Discovery module lets you establish your own preregistration business rules. Typically, suppliers will be asked to complete an abbreviated form that captures their company, contact, and product information. Configurable business rules allow you to decide what information prospects must enter and whether your apexportal should automatically validate entries, like address, Tax ID/VAT Registration, and bank information. You also decide whether to route new profiles for approval or to simply store them for future use.
