What do you love most about your job? I love the opportunity to help new hires to learn more about our company and set them up for success. Since being a Trainer, I have been able to gain exposure to all aspects of our business. It has been interesting and rewarding for me.
How did you get to where you are today? My journey with apexanalytix started in 2012 as an Audit Support Analyst. Being in the Recovery Department helped me learned a lot about our business. After about three years as an Audit Support Analyst, there was an opportunity for me to move into a Recovery Lead role. I held that position for about eight months until there was an opening for an Internal Trainer position. And the rest has been history! I’ve been with the HR team since 2016, and it’s been an amazing journey.
What advice would you give to someone else? Have a clear idea of where you want your career to go. One thing that helped me was doing some reflection and identify what I’m strong at and love doing. When I was in the Recovery Lead position, I discovered I loved training, organizing sessions, classes, conducting webinars, and helping others to learn.
Fun fact about yourself. I’ve been playing the guitar for 22 years and have been the Lead Guitarist for Skulls and Whiskey since 2015. In my free time, I like to write and record new song ideas for my band. We will be working on our first album in 2021. My favorite guitar players include Toni Iommi, Zakk Wylde, and Tom Morello.
