Steve moved into the CEO role at apexanalytix in 2009. Under his leadership, the company and its team of associates have added a record number of Global 1000 clients, expanded global capabilities and markets served, developed revolutionary new software applications and captured more recoveries for clients than during any period in company history.

Before joining apexanalytix, Steve was VP of an Atlanta-based management consulting firm and headed a successful joint venture with IBM to implement analytic applications for the world’s largest companies. Steve previously worked with ERP provider J.D. Edwards in a variety of sales and management roles. He also worked for Deloitte & Touche in its management consulting group. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Gregg is a Certified Public Accountant and has a master’s degree in business; he has led the National Service Center in Phoenix Arizona for the past 20 years. With the merger of Safeway and Albertsons, the National Service Center is now responsible for all aspects of retail accounting processes and payroll for 2,300 stores, 300,000 employees, 27 distribution facilities and 20 manufacturing plants with 22 different banners throughout the United States.

Prior to joining Safeway/Albertsons, Gregg worked for the Dial Corporation for 18 years.  He was Director of Finance for the International Division, including Asia/Australia and lived in Hong Kong for a time.

Before joining Koch Global Services, Ray was accounting manager at The LYCRA Company which was a divestiture of INVISTA™ (Koch Affiliate) where he implemented the purchase price allocation accounting efforts with a focus on fixed assets and inventory costing. Prior to exciting opportunity to lead the accounting efforts of The LYCRA Company Ray worked in many different roles at INVISTA™ mostly in the plant finance or product costing space. Throughout his tenure at INIVSTA™ he had the opportunity to lead the product costing and plant finance team through an ERP implementation. Ray is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri.

Claudia Armenta Rentería

Claudia brings a broad experience in accounts payable and global project management to her role at CEMEX, a multinational building materials company serving customers more than 50 countries. As process owner for procure-to-pay, she is responsible for innovating and standardizing the company’s finance and administrative processes globally. Claudia has worked in a variety of procure-to-pay roles for CEMEX. She previously served as accounts payable and master data manager, as a multiproduct coordinator responsible for working capital forecasts, and as both an accounts payable coordinator and analyst. Claudia earned an MBA from EGADE Business School and a degree in industrial engineering from the Chihuahua Technology Institute. She is based at CEMEX headquarters in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

Alan Lee

Alan is passionate about innovation and has a proven track record of identifying new opportunities and leveraging technology to bring innovative products and services to the market. Alan was the founder of Idera Software in 2000 and developed its flagship products. Idera was later acquired by TA Associates in 2014.

Before joining apexanalytix, Alan held senior leadership roles in technology and energy companies focusing on commodities, logistics, renewables, and ESG.

Alan holds professional CISSP certifications in Cybersecurity. He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Outside of work, Alan likes to participate in technology challenges and competitions. He was awarded as one of the top finalists of the Google Android Challenges in 2008 and 2010 and has worked with Google on its Android operating system and Google App store.

Rob is a serial entrepreneur. He started a data and analytics consulting firm in 2013, which was acquired by BlueLine Associates in 2015. As Partner at BlueLine Associates, Rob oversaw all aspects of the firm until its acquisition by ThreeBridge Solutions in 2019.

Danny Thompson is VP of Market and Product Strategy at apexanalytix and is responsible for defining, communicating and leading our company’s software product strategy and roadmap. He works closely with our customers to ensure that each solution helps them meet their business objectives. Danny has a proven track record in the procure-to-pay arena, with a strong background in ERP implementation, process automation and financial shared services. He previously was VP of Product Management at Tungsten Network, a global business-to-business e-invoicing firm. He also is a former global process driver for invoice-to-pay at Pfizer. Danny earned his B.A. from Harding University.

Amy joined Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in March of 2016. As a member of the Finance Division, Amy is responsible for the direct oversight of all accounts payable cash disbursements, controls, taxes, employee expense reimbursement, corporate card program and compliance. She is also responsible for managing the vendor master file, screening all suppliers to ensure HIPAA compliance and proper 1099 reporting. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and HR from Purdue University.

Dennis Frio is a Managing Director, and a leader in the firm’s Third Party Risk Management practice. He has over 25 years of consulting and industry experience specializing in the implementation and enhancement of third-party risk management and supply chain processes and applications. He has worked on third party risk and regulatory programs primarily in the Banking, Asset Management and Pharmaceutical industries in the United States, Europe and Asia Pac across a broad array of initiatives designed to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk.

Joni Guerts
Accounts Payable & Fraud Expert

In her 20+ year career at JetBlue, Joni has had a long list of positions – working in reservations, customer commitment, legal, vacation packaging, and finance. Joni received a B.S. from the University of Utah – after spending three years at the University of Kansas, where she studied Pre-Law and claims alum status!

The knowledge and experience she gained from working in all areas of the airline was a huge bonus when she transitioned to the Finance department from Marketing. “I knew that from my variety of experience in the airline I had a huge advantage because I knew who to ask for just about anything.” Although Joni had no prior finance background, she had the management skills that were needed to turn the department around – and after eleven years of Joni’s efforts in AP, the department has automated 95% of all payments, captured more than $3.5 million annually in discounts, and improved the DPO from 17 days to 40 days.

When she is not working, Joni enjoys spending time with her husband, four children and two grandchildren in Salt Lake City.

Akhilesh leads the development of new client-focused software innovations, guided by the regular trend analyses he conducts to ensure that firststrike delivers real-world efficiency and productivity benefits. He also oversees test planning and reviews, risk mitigation and the delivery of seamless technical support to large global clients across country borders.

Akhilesh has almost 20 years of experience with product design and execution in accounts payable, accounts receivable and related areas. In addition to driving research and development, he also brings his technology expertise to improve and enhance the operational effectiveness and efficiency of apexanalytix audit solutions.

Before joining the apexanalytix team, Akhilesh was vice president of technology for iQor, a provider of intelligent customer interaction solutions. He earned a reputation there for consistently delivering on high-visibility, high-performance projects. He also is a former associate director of software development for Receivable Management Services and a former project manager for Aditya International.
