Will suppliers be required to use Conductor?

Using Conductor is purely opt-in for suppliers.

Conductor provides suppliers with more insight and recommendations to better run their business across Risk, Business Continuity (e.g. Cyber, Sustainability) and Data Management operations.

The existing channels and process for your Portal and data requirements (for example, your uniquely configured Supplier Registration program) remain and will not be impacted or changed.

Do suppliers have to pay for Conductor?

There is a free version of Conductor that will be available to all suppliers. A paid version of Conductor, called Conductor+, is available for suppliers who want more frequent data refreshes on their Critical Business Alerts or risk profiles, as well as the ability to monitor and manage the risk of their business partners.

Why is the Conductor UI different than my Portal UI?

Great news! The Portal UX is also being updated, so that suppliers will enjoy a seamless user experience between Portal and Conductor. These updates will improve both the buyer-side UI, and what the supplier experiences when they access your Portal.

While you can control when new features go live in your environment, the supplier registration screens will be available at the same time Conductor goes live. More screens and processes within Portal will come in subsequent Portal releases.

How will my company benefit from Conductor?

Conductor will improve supplier adoption of your portal, increases security, and reduces supplier risk. It is an extension of our current Portal offering. You can think of Conductor as a new feature of your Portal that provides more resources and visibility to your suppliers.

Every supplier presents risk to their customers. However, suppliers have very little visibility into critical issues such as data breaches, regulation violations, or if there is a problem with one of their own suppliers. Suppliers want the information and tools necessary to remediate these issues without their customers having to intervene. Conductor gives that visibility to suppliers and helps them resolve their own risks before those risks dirupt their customer relationships.

Will Conductor discourage my suppliers from using my Portal?

No, in fact,  suppliers tell us they are more likely to interact with a portal when they can access it from a central location. There, they get visibility to all their open action items, and respond more quickly than when they have to log into multiple portals.  Conductor helps them stay on top of their action items and seamlessly navigates them to your portal whenever you need them.

Your current and future program resides within Portal, which will continue to see functional and UI roadmap improvements. Suppliers can always directly navigate to your portal if they prefer. Even when supplier is a Conductor user, the Conductor application will direct them to your Portal when necessary.
