Top Gun Benchmarking
Compares You Against Your Peers

APEX Analytix’ Top Gun Benchmark Survey continues to grow in stature and number of participants. As a result of 18 years of collaboration with accounts payable, shared services and purchasing leaders of Fortune 500 companies, we have identified approximately 60 best practice areas that significantly impact efficiency and profitability.

Our benchmarking effort is focused on large companies who are actively implementing best practices that leverage technology, integrated procure-to-pay processes, internal controls, and advanced metrics. Our clients appreciate the relevance of the data to organizations of their scope and size.

There is no cost to participate for organizations who meet certain basic qualification criteria.

Throughout the year, we add the input of new customers to our ongoing Top Gun Benchmark for A/P Best Practices. Together, the 90-plus participants of the last published Top Gun Benchmark of A/P Best Practices combined issue 300 million invoices annually, totaling over $925 billion in spend.

On average, each company processes 3.4 million invoices annually and average $10.3 billion in disbursements per year.

Participating companies rank among the best-managed retail and goods and services organizations in the world, and typically represent the early adopters of financial best practices. The benchmarking survey delivers a numerical ranking to each organization based upon how successfully they utilized best practices to streamline invoice and payment operations, while maintaining a proper level of internal controls within accounts payable.

If you login and complete a benchmarking survey you will receive a copy of the survey, comparing your organization to the others who have participated so far.
