Michael Lustig, Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Michael brings a breadth of business experience in operations, multinational expansion, business development and senior finance to his leadership of APEX Analytix.  Since joining APEX Analytix in 2003, the company has experienced 30% compounded annual growth, and three-digit growth rates in audit service revenue, software revenue and profits.  Focused on the objective of transitioning APEX Analytix from a services company to a provider of technology-enables business services, Michael has led the effort to increase investments in research and development and information technology infrastructure. 

Applying his experience in strategic business development, he led the effort that resulted in the infusion of $7 million in venture capital in 2003, and was the architect of the acquisition of Bottom Line Enhancement Services, an established provider of overpayment detection technology to large retailers, in 2004.  Michael launched the first European office of APEX Analytix in the United Kingdom in early 2006, and continues to drive business development throughout Europe.  An involved leader with high standards, Michael is intimately involved in product direction and strategy, as well as continuous improvement of processes to support APEX Analytix’s rapid growth in revenues and market share.

Prior to joining APEX Analytix, Michael worked as president and chief operating officer of PRG Schultz, the world's leading provider of recovery audit services. He joined PRG in 1996 and assisted in taking it public later that year. Michael was an integral part of the company's growth between 1996 and 2000 when its revenues increased from $50 million to more than $400 million. As president and COO, Lustig participated with several acquisition teams and assisted in building PRG's infrastructure. Under his guidance the company rolled out its service offerings to more than 40 countries.

Fuqua Industries was a $3 billion diversified conglomerate with interests in sporting goods, lawn and garden, oil, retail, photo finishing and banking services. During a 15-year period, Michael acted as the turnaround officer for several subsidiaries and played many roles, including that of corporate controller/group controller, head of business development/M&A and part of the internal audit function.

Michael graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor of science in accounting, and he later received his EMBA from Emory University. He serves on several advisory boards and is a CPA.
